About Lauren
Lauren is a performer, writer, director and musician based in NYC. Her work has been featured internationally at the Venice International Film Festival and Edinburgh Fringe Festival, in NYC at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater, the Peoples Improv Theater, the Magnet Theater, and more. In 2023, she was part of the longest running off-broadway show at the SoHo Playhouse, Lighthouse the Musical. Lauren is a regular performer in the sketch, character and stand up comedy community of NYC, as well as an active director and coach. Her dream roles include Comedic Relief in any fantasy series with dragons (Fourth Wing…..?), and Lord Farquaad in Shrek the Musical.
She’s currently: Pitching her short film and proof-of-concept about life inside a veterinary hospital, Heavy Petting. Heavy Petting was an official selection of SeriesFest 2025, where it had its North American premiere. Catch her live monthly in NYC as a part of the Boogiemanja House Sketch Team, Dad?
Lauren studied improvisation and characters at the Upright Citizens Brigade in NYC after graduating from the University of Miami with a degree in Music (and a few other things). She then went on to study Acting through the Atlantic Acting School. She is a classical double-bassist who can hack it at jazz with enough notice, and is available for recording sessions, with strong references. Ask her about her past life as a veterinary assistant, and her forever passion for the hardworking, beautiful souls of vet med. Or don’t….. whatever…..
